The People Behind The Vault
We’re Carl and Fan Smucker, and we fell in love with this building the moment we saw it. Built in 1908, it spent over a century as a bank right here in the Village of Intercourse before we took it on as a restoration project. We wanted to bring it back to life and give this community a beautiful, historic place to gather. Every detail, from the original hardwood floors to the restored bank vault, was preserved with that goal in mind.
